The Tribulation Reign of the Antichrist

Hi, I’m Dr. David Orlowski. I’ve written the book THE RAPTURE – The Tribulation Reign of the Antichrist. This book picks up after the Rapture, and delves into the dark events surrounding the Antichrist’s world rule during the first 3 ½ years of The Tribulation. But let’s talk from a theological standpoint about The Rapture, or catching up of the saints, which is foretold in the Scriptures in I Thessalonians 4:16 where Paul says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.” Some have reasoned that the word Rapture is not contained in the Scripture, but as I just quoted to you, we will be “caught up together” or raptured. The Greek word for being “caught up” is harpazó, which means “to seize, catch up, or snatch away – effectively, to be raptured away.” At The Rapture, Jesus will catch up the saints, and will take us into Heaven. Please note that Paul the Apostle declares that he is speaking “by the word of the Lord” (15), so there can be no doubt that the believers are to be taken up into Heaven. To interpret this as the Rapture is only reasonable, which fully parallels Jesus’ statements that two would be in the field, one taken, one left, two in the house, one taken, one left. Is there any other context, other than the Rapture, where one is taken and the other left? Jesus will next appear in the clouds, as it says in Acts 1, where He will reap the harvest before the Great Tribulation.

This is in contrast to Jesus’ Second Coming, where He is prophesied to come back to the earth for His Millennial Reign. Jesus’ Second Coming indicates that He will actually step foot on the Earth, as it says In Zechariah 14:4, “In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east.” At The Rapture, Jesus comes on the clouds. He does not step foot on the Earth.

Let me submit one additional text about Jesus coming on the clouds. In Revelation 14:14-16, it says, “Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand.” Please note before I go on, that John the Apostle, uses the word “behold” signifying the importance of this moment. John says that One like a Son of Man, Jesus, is sitting or poised on a white cloud, where He has a golden crown on His head. Please note, He has a sharp sickle in His hand, showing that He is about to reap the harvest of believers from the earth. Please note that a Harvest is always a good thing, such as the wheat harvest. The Scripture goes on to say, “And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to Him who sat on the cloud, ‘Put in Your sickle and reap, for the hour to reap has come, because the harvest of the earth is ripe.’” Here, the angel comes “out of the temple”, where the Father is, and he cried out to Jesus who is poised on the cloud. This is important, because on the Father knows the day or hour when Jesus will catch up the saints. John finishes by saying, “Then He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped.” Clearly, the statement, the earth was reaped, means the harvest was taken up to Heaven, since Jesus will be stationed on the clouds, and not on the earth. Jesus swings His sickle and takes up the Harvest. He does not collect the harvest to leave it on the earth.
